Deflect supports integrations with external tools to extend your support workflow. Configure integrations from SettingsIntegrations tab.

FreshChat

Connect Deflect with FreshChat to route human handoff conversations to your existing FreshChat workspace.

Setup

Get Your FreshChat Credentials

From your FreshChat dashboard, obtain:
  • API Token — Found in FreshChat Settings → API Tokens.
  • Domain — Your FreshChat domain (e.g., yourcompany.freshchat.com).
  • Channel ID (optional) — Specific channel to route conversations to.

Configure in Deflect

  1. Go to SettingsIntegrations tab.
  2. Enter your FreshChat API Token, Domain, and optionally the Channel ID.
  3. Click Save.

Enable on Your Agent

  1. Go to your agent’s editor page.
  2. Open the Handoff tool configuration.
  3. Enable the FreshChat toggle.
  4. When a handoff is triggered, the conversation will be routed to FreshChat instead of the built-in live chat.
Make sure your FreshChat API token has the necessary permissions to create conversations and send messages.
