Deflect supports multi-language interactions. You can configure your agent to respond in a specific language or automatically detect the user’s language.

Language Modes

In this mode, the agent detects the language of the user’s message and responds in the same language. This is ideal for global businesses. To enable this, set the language to Dynamic in the agent settings.

Specific Language

You can force the agent to always respond in a specific language, regardless of the user’s input. This is useful if your support is only offered in one language. Supported languages include:
  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German
  • Hindi
  • and many more—use the language picker in the agent editor for the full list.
After you change language mode, run a few test chats in the languages you care about to confirm tone and understanding match your expectations.
