Deflect supports multi-language interactions. You can configure your agent to respond in a specific language or automatically detect the user’s language.

Language Modes

In this mode, the agent detects the language of the user’s message and responds in the same language. This is ideal for global businesses. To enable this, set the language to Dynamic in the agent settings.

Specific Language

You can force the agent to always respond in a specific language, regardless of the user’s input. This is useful if your support is only offered in one language. Supported languages include:
  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • German
  • Hindi
  • and many more…

How it Works

When a message is processed, the system prepends a language instruction to the system prompt:
  • Dynamic: “IMPORTANT: You must detect the language of the user’s message and respond in that same language.”
  • Specific: “IMPORTANT: You must respond ONLY in [Language].”
